A few weeks ago, Sasa was having a beauty fair at the atrium of Northpoint and I got these masks for $1 each! Gonna split the review posts into two parts, since I can’t finish so many masks so quickly. And one packet actually last me a few applications instead of just one. Lol… later show you guys a trick that I use to keep the products that I cannot finish at one go.
This post is going to be on SkinLite’s Purifying Dead Sea Mud Masks, which I got in Mango and Mineral ‘flavours’? Lol.
From the many masks on sale that day, I chose a dead sea mud mask because my skin needed some detoxification, and dead sea mud masks are known for their purifying properties. My pores were getting quite cloggy due to lack of proper rest, make up etc… The usual exfoliation didn’t quite clean the pores and uproot comedones as thoroughly as I would like.
The SkinLite mask packs come in 2 separate portions, meant for 2 treatments. So you cut along the middle line. Both essentially contain dead sea salt, just with slightly different ingredients. The mango one contains Mango, Orange, Aloe and Lemon, while the Mineral one contains Lemon, Orange, Bilberry and Mineral (coral) water.
The mud mask deeply cleanses and purifies tired skin by draining impurities from within, leaving skin more radiant and fresh (which is what I totally needed!).
Swatch of the two masks.
I like to pop my masks in the refrigerator, so when I want to use them, I get a cooling and refreshing mask. It really perks my tired skin up! If you haven’t been keeping your masks in the fridge, you should do so immediately and feel the difference.

Okay I made this photo really small cuz I didn’t want to scare anyone. Hahaha.
Review:
It is super value for money. I had so much leftover from one application that I could stretch the portion from one treatment to three! Haha and since one treatment is 50cents, 50/3=16.667cents. Hahah one treatment for me was less than 20cents. Zzz I calculate to make myself feel happy.
Here’s a tip: I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me earlier, but I realised that I could store my unfinished mask into my old contact lens cases. I have so many of them!! Chuck it back in the fridge, and the mask would still be moist and cold for the subsequent applications.
The mud mask tightens up my pores. As the mud mask dries up, I could feel the tightening of the mask. After that, my pores really did appear smaller! My skin was smoother as a result. No kidding! So that’s why I say that this mask is super worth it for a quick pick-me-up.
I use it once a week, after exfoliation and cleansing, to allow pores to open up and impurities easier to be extracted. So far I am really liking the results. What a steal at just $1 for two treatments and more! Haha. I suppose when Sasa is not having sale, it’s a little pricier, but I don’t think it’s alot more. Cheap and affordable!
Which do I prefer?
I actually liked the Mineral one more because of its refreshing smell. I felt that it was ‘cooler’ than the Mango mask and I liked the blue colour more than orange. HAHA okay this part is entirely personal preference, please don’t quote me.
Yup hope my review helped!
